America's Climate Leaders – May 2023
Cincinnati Financial is one of 400 U.S-based companies named to the inaugural list of America’s Climate Leaders. Published by USA Today, the list recognizes those companies that reduced their greenhouse gas emissions intensity from 2019 to 2021. The ranking examines multiple indicators, such as emission intensity, reduction in emissions and carbon disclosure rating, to gain a picture of how well companies are doing in this piece of the climate solution.
ENERGY STAR® – May 2023
Cincinnati Financial's headquarters facility earned its 2023 ENERGY STAR for maintaining superior energy performance and meeting strict energy performance standards set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. To receive this certification, commercial buildings must perform in the top 25% of similar buildings nationwide, based on key metrics such as energy performance, occupancy, hours of operation and more. On average ENERGY STAR certified buildings use 35% less energy, cause 35% fewer greenhouse gas emissions, and are less expensive to operate than their peers – all without sacrifices in performance or comfort.
